If compared to the first album this sophomore effort is even more AOR, as the guitars are a little softer and the keyboards are slightly more evident than before. Torsti Spoof (Leverage), Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon), Magnus Karlsson (Bob Catley, Starbreaker) and Robert Sall (Work of Art) make up the songwriting team.Īlthough this is the softest Place Vendome album it is an outstanding AOR offering, filled with quality songs and impressive musicianship. While the musicians have remained the same this time around the songs are provided by different songwriters. Their 2005 self-titled debut album was a brilliant melodic rock/AOR release and when the follow up was confirmed in 2008 expectations were high. The Place Vendome band was put together by Frontiers Records in 2005 and comprised of Michael Kiske (Helloween, Unisonic) on vocals, Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Unisonic) on bass, Uwe Reitenauer (Pink Cream 69) on guitars, Kosta Zafiriou (Pink Cream 69, Unisonic) on drums and Gunter Werno (Vandenplas) on keyboards.
